Parenting Workshops
Currently workshops are offered online. Please email me to book a workshop. You will be sent a zoom link for the workshop a few days before the workshop occurs.
Workshops will consist of 30-45 minutes of instruction followed by up to 30 minutes of questions from parents.
Food Fight!
No I won’t be teaching you to better your mashed potato flinging distance, instead we’ll talk about how to lessen some of the mealtime drama. What are some ideas to get kids to try new foods? How can you better involve your kids in mealtimes? We’ll discuss these topics and more surrounding food.
Thursday July 10th, 7 pm
Discipline 101
People often confuse the word “discipline” with “punishment” we’ll discuss the differences between the two and how flexible you should, or shouldn’t be, with your rules. We’ll also talk about what I consider the three C’s of discipline.
Wednesday July 23rd, 7 pm
Easy Set Up, Easy Clean up Activities
Sometimes you just need 15 minutes uninterrupted time for dinner prep or other task, but it can be difficult to get kids to entertain themselves during these times. I’ll show you activities that will take 5 minutes or less to set up and will take only a few minutes to put away. These activities don’t require special equipment, and in my experience, most kids will engage with these activities for at least 15-25 minutes. Activities are geared towards 2-5 year olds.
Tuesday July 15th, 12 pm
Childcare Choices
What is the right childcare situation for your family? Daycare, a nanny, or maybe an in-home center? What should you look for when choosing a daycare? How do you go about hiring a nanny? We’ll talk about how to choose between your various options and what the factors you should consider when making your choice.
Saturday July 26th, 930 am
DIY Educational Activities
I’ll show you how to make some simple educational activities for your child, using things you probably have around the house. Activities will enhance skills in the area of colors, numbers, and fine motor skills. Activities are geared towards ages 2-6. For the in-person workshop we’ll be making some activities for you to take home.
